Ten sales plays for your business. On the house.
I build free sales playbooks for early-stage businesses. You fill in one form: what you sell, who buys it, what you've tried. Within a week you get ten sales plays, ranked by how fast each one gets you to a dollar, with who to go after, what to say, and the one number to track. That's it. No call to sit through.
I sell for a living, and I built Good Day Optics from nothing while doing it. Building it taught me that what I needed wasn't more strategy. It was someone to hand me the plays and say go.
Two a week, in the order the forms come in. Others are waitlisted.
Who it's for
It's a fit if three things are true.
- You're already selling something, so there's a real product and a real price, even if you only have a handful of customers.
- You're the one who's going to run the plays, not hand them to an agency.
- You'll do the give and take: run three plays in 30 days, reply to the check-in with what happened, and pass the playbook to one other founder.
Still at the idea stage, or looking for a deck to admire instead of plays to run? Come back when you've sold something.
How it works
-
Fill in the form
Nine questions, about five minutes. A link to your website or Instagram stands in for the call.
-
Get ten plays within a week
Ranked by how fast each one gets you to a dollar, with a 30-day run order.
-
Run three, report back, pass it on
At day 30 you'll get one email asking what happened. Reply to it. Then send this page to one founder who needs it.
It's free. Here's the catch.
Nothing is for sale on this page. The playbook costs you three things instead.
- Run at least three of the ten plays in the first 30 days.
- Reply to the day-30 check-in with what happened. Good or bad, it gets written up so the next founder learns from it.
- Pass the playbook to one other founder.
Every playbook's on the house. Pass it on.
What's in a playbook
Ten plays, ranked by speed to first dollar, plus the order to run them in over 30 days. Every play is written the same way, so you can start one the morning it lands.
- WhoThe exact person or business to go after, and where to find them.
- What to sayThe opener, the offer, and the follow-up, in words you can use as written.
- What it costsTime, money, or both, before you commit an hour to it.
- The numberThe one thing to track so you know inside a week whether the play is working.
The first two went to a local service business and a growing product brand. Results get posted here as they come in.
Where to run it
Plays run better in a room. For Founders Sake is a community of founders running their own plays, not just this one, $15 a month. Monday, you post which play you're running this week. Friday, you post what happened. Players learn from players: someone else's win or flop this week might be the play you run next month. Once a month there's a live Play Call where one member's plan gets narrowed to three plays on the spot.
The playbook is free either way. This is where people go to actually finish it.

Five Cuts, $1,500. One two-hour call: I pick the three plays you run first, name the five things eating your time that stop now, and we build the first script, offer, and follow-up together so you can send something the next morning. Thirty days later we get back on a call and adjust.
If you don't leave the call with three plays and five cuts written down, you don't pay.
Most people don't need it. It's offered on the last page of every playbook, and you can ask about it any time at hello@passtheplaybook.com.
Who's behind this
Jared Szuch. Outside sales by day, founder of Good Day Optics the rest of the time, a direct-to-consumer eyewear brand built from Edmonton one customer at a time. He'd rather hand you the plays than another strategy deck.
